About the Survey

This survey is to gather and project capabilities in the country to take up major research initiatives, particularly towards self reliance. This portal enables logged in users to add various pieces of information and edit those at anytime later to help collect, curate and link the data for the community use. We hope that this data will help researchers increase visibility, discover their partners and new collaborative possibilites as information keeps flowing in.

Application Domains:

The initial list is populated as required by a project from INAE to prepare a roadmap for implementation of ICME. Logged in users can add to this for their use such as a group project, to identify subject experts for a workshop etc.,

Tools:

Tools are either experimental or computational. These are gathered at two levels namely, Tool Categories and Tools under each of those categories. Logged in users can map themselves to the tools they have or use for their research.

Techniques:

Techniques are procedures or scientific methods by which one can use a tool towards a research objective. Different tools can enable different techniques possible. Logged in users can map themselves to the techniques they use for their research. They can also map a tool and a technique to help others explore such possibilities.

Major Facilities:

Organizations such as educational institutions, research laboratories and industries (particularly their Research & Development units) host major facilities that are either unique or possess capabilities that are not often found across the country. Logged in users can list such major facilities here and thus help prospective researchers locate those and seek support to use those for their research.

A layout of the different tables, mappings and the processes for a logged in person are illustrated in the image below.
